JOANNA MARIE MERCADO MEJIA, is 33 -year-old, married to a 35-year-old construction worker and they were blessed with 3 children ages 12,6 and 3. A resident of Mapandan, Pangasinan. She is the eldest child amongst 2 brothers. Her 58-year-old mother is an overseas foreign worker in Israel while her father has passed away in 2019. She finished her secondary education at Mapandan National High School in year 2008. Then she took up a degree in Industrial Engineering, until 2nd yr. She was not able to complete the course due to her family’s financial difficulty. She had her non domestic work experience as follows: Sales Staff ( May 2016 – Nov 2016) Store Assistant / Cashier ( Nov 2016 – Oct 2017) Cashier (Jan 2021 – Sep 2023) She had her maid domestic work experience as follow: 1. PHILIPPINES (Apr 2014 – Dec 2015), she was hired by a Filipino family living in a 2 bedroom bungalow house with a couple. She mainly focus on managing the daily household chores and at the same time she helps her employer in the grocery store business. Currently, she is a hands-on mother and doing household chores while waiting for her application in Singapore. She is capable of taking care of newborn to young children and capable of performing childcare duties such as feeding, bathing, preparing their school things, and playing with the children. With her experience, she claims to be proficient in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining household cleanliness and cooking. She is also keen to look after elderly person and willing to be trained, if given the opportunity. She is confident and claims to be excellent in cooking Filipino dishes and still keen to learn other foreign cuisines. Aside from that she is keen to do gardening, car washing and pet care. After selection, FDW will undergo a week of In-House- Private Training in Manila (Accredited by TESDA) then OWWA seminar prior to the processing of Overseas Employment Certificate for deployment.
